
Pitt Falls to Louisville on the Road

Panthers Drop 3-0 Contest to Cardinals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pittsburgh women's soccer team fell to Louisville on the road Friday evening, dropping a 3-0 contest to the Cardinals.
Louisville struck early, taking a 1-0 lead in the third minute on a goal by Brooklynn Rivers. Just eight minutes later the Cardinals would go up 2-0, as a slow ball would go past keeper Katelyn McEachern, to give Louisville an advantage that they would take into the half.
Less than five minutes into the second, Louisville would make it 3-0, as a free kick goal by Gabrielle Vincent would move the Cardinals into a lead they would not surrender.
For Pitt, Taylor Pryce and Juelle Love recorded the team's only two shots of the game. McEachern would make Pitt's lone save, playing in all 45 minutes of the first half and allowing two goals. Amaia Pena would take over in the second half, tallying 45:00 minutes of play, allowing one goal. With the loss, Pitt falls to 3-9-3 (0-6-1 ACC).

Pitt continues its road trip, traveling to Miami (Oct. 19) and Florida State (Oct. 22). The Panthers close out the regular season at home on Oct. 26, hosting Boston College.
