PITTSBURGH - The Pitt tennis team concludes its fall season at the Harvard Invitational in Cambridge, Mass., Friday, Nov. 4-6, at the Breen Tennis Center. The Panthers will be joined by Harvard, Boston University, and fellow ACC member Syracuse at the invitational.
Pitt will begin action Friday, Nov. 4, at 11:30 a.m. with BU, followed by Harvard Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10:30 a.m., and will end the weekend with ACC-foe Syracuse Sunday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m.
Last year at the invitational, the Panthers saw success against all three opponents. Against Harvard, Pitt held a slight edge in the singles matches, while the Crimson took control of doubles. The Panthers took 11-of-12 matches from Boston University on the second day of competition and concluded the invitational by winning six total matches against the Orange.
Syracuse brings two singles players ranked No. 44 and No. 59 in Anna Shkudun and Gabriela Knutson. Knutson is also ranked No. 12 in doubles alongside teammate Valeria Salazar.
Junior Audrey Ann Blakely will be the only other player in attendance this weekend in the Oracle/ITA Preseason Rankings.
