Women's Tennis Drops Conference Match On The Road

The match opened with the Panthers being swept in doubles. The No. 1 doubles pair of sophomore Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) and freshman Sabrina Visram (Orlando, Fla./Lake Highland Prep) played a close match, earning a tiebreaker but fell 9-7 in the end.
Borza, however, was one of two Panthers to win in singles play, as she defeated Hannah Hinton in two sets (6-1, 6-4).
Sophomore Christie D'achille (Gibsonia/Pa./North Allegheny) was victorious for Pitt in the No. 5 slot, posting a 7-6 and 15-13 win for the second point of the day.
In No. 3 singles, Visram earned her first loss of the season, ending her record-breaking start at 12 consecutive single's wins.
