Hunter Blasts Fourth Homer Of The Season

PITTSBURGH--Senior Christa Hunter recorded a one-out homer in the second inning as led the University of Pittsburgh softball team to a 3-2 win in game one of a doubleheader against Buffalo at Trees Field, this afternoon.

In the seventh, the Bulls scored one run off a double to center field. The Bulls tried to get another run in for the tie when bases were loaded after two batters where hit by a pitch, but sophomore Jessica Dignon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) fielded the groundball to third for the final out of the game.
Junior Laura Belardinelli (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott) worked six innings, allowing six hits and walking one.
Hunter was 2-3 at the plate and struck out one of the five batters faced.
