Pittsburgh Gymnastics Falls to Rutgers in EAGL Competition.

The Pittsburgh women's gymnastics team suffered a close loss at Rutgers, 191.250-190.975, in East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) action on Feb. 10. The Panthers move to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in EAGL competition.
Despite the loss, Pittsburgh had a number of top performances in the competition. Sophomore Jennifer Easter (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) made just her second appearance of the season in the vault lineup and claimed first place on the event with a season-high score of 9.650. Sophomore Nathalie Sulpher (Ottawa, Canada/Franco-Quest) finished in a tie for second on vault with a 9.625, while freshman Alyse Zeffiro (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem) was fourth with a 9.600.
Senior Colleen Crisi (Woodhaven, Mich./Carlson) earned a season-high 9.800 on the uneven bars to finish second on the event. Junior Raya Mullin (Runnemeade, N.J./Triton) finished third (tied) with a 9.775, while sophomore Heather Launse (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) made her first appearance of the year on the event and earned a 9.575.
Crisi dominated the competition on balance beam, claiming first place with another season-high 9.825. Additionally, both Launse and sophomore Lisa Yarosh (Seymour, Conn./Seymour) finished in a tie for second on beam with scores of 9.775.
Sulpher led the Panthers on floor exercise with a season-high 9.875 and a second-place finish. Easter was close behind in third place with a season-high 9.850.
Pittsburgh returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 18 when the Panthers visit Western Michigan.
