Micah Trimpey joined the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department in September of 2023 as a Ticket Sales Coordinator. Selling ticketed sports including, but not limited to Football and Men and Women's Basketball, Trimpey also is responsible for generating revenue primarily through outbound communication with prospects such as Season Tickets, Suites, Premium Seats, Donations, Groups, Mini Plans, and Single Game Tickets.
Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Trimpey worked for the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Ticket Sales Coordinator. During his time there, he was responsible for various PNC Park game day ticket office activities, including supervising game day ticket sellers and assisting guests with troubleshooting ticket issues while also assisting ticket office personnel with various responsibilities such as processing single, group, and package ticket orders. Prior to working at PNC Park, Trimpey worked at Duquesne University as a Ticket Operations and Sales Representative, assisting with ticket sales and answer customer questions for ticketed Duquesne Athletic events and non-Duquesne ticketed events held at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
A 2023 graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Sports Marketing and Management, Trimpey interned during his time in school at the Washington Wild Things in the summer of 2022 as a Ticket Sales and Box Office Operations Representative. During his time at Duquesne University, he also served as the Vice-President of Sports Marketing Association on campus.
A Pittsburgh native, Trimpey resides in Wexford currently.
Beyond the Bio
What is your favorite things to do in the city of Pittsburgh?
Going to any sporting events. The atmosphere that teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins create on a nightly basis is something that I highly recommend anyone experience at least once.
Hobbies outside of work?
Big movie fan, being active with sports, and cooking.
What do you love most about working in athletics?
Being able to connect with all the likeminded individuals that truly appreciate sports. It means a lot to be able to create memories that fans will have with them for the rest of their lives.
