Katie Gulley (Nachtman) enters her second season as team dietitian for the Pitt football program, joining the Panthers in August 2024.
She arrived already familiar with Pitt football, having served the program as a dietetic intern during the Panthers’ 2022 spring drills.
Gulley is a highly credentialed and experienced nutrition professional having worked in the Big Ten, Southeastern Conference and with Gatorade sponsored camps.
Prior to Pitt, she served the past year as the assistant director for performance nutrition at Penn State University, where she was the team dietitian for the Nittany Lions’ men’s soccer, men’s lacrosse and men’s and women’s ice hockey and fencing programs.
From 2022-23, Gulley was a sports nutrition fellow at the University of Tennessee. She was a team dietitian for the Volunteers’ football, rowing, men’s and women’s golf and cheer and dance squads.
Gulley also gained valuable experience through internships with the renowned Cleveland Clinic (2021-22) and the Penn State Performance Nutrition division (2019-21).
Gulley is a 2021 Honors graduate of Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in the nutritional Sciences.
She earned the ServSafe Certification, reflecting her food safety knowledge, and additionally is certified in CPR.
Gulley and her husband, Cooper, reside in Shadyside.
