Sky Duff enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Pitt baseball program. He returns to Pitt after spending the 2025 season as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware.
Duff spent the entirety of his five-year collegiate career at Pitt, setting numerous school records and earning multiple individual and team awards. His name is littered throughout the Pitt baseball record book.
After his playing career concluded, Duff served as Pitt’s graduate manager for the 2024 season where he worked with the program’s hitters and infielders while assisting with the Panthers’ in-game defensive alignments.
Pitt turned the most double plays in the ACC (42) in 2024 with the help of Duff. As for their success at the plate in 2024, the Panthers scored their most runs (382) and had their second-highest team batting average (.282) since 2013.
Duff would depart from Pitt after being named as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware for the 2025 season. In his first year with the program, he helped the Blue Hens to a 28-win season while two of his hitters went on earn all-conference honors.
As a player, Duff is the Pitt baseball program’s all-time leader in doubles (54) and walks (171). Additionally, he ranks second all-time in games played (213) and at-bats (794), third all-time in games started (207), fifth all-time in runs scored (163) and eighth all-time in hits (226).
Duff’s 2021 campaign earned him ABCA All-Region and All-ACC honors, batting .366 with 60 hits, 18 doubles and a .985 OPS. In his final collegiate season in 2023, Duff started in all 55 of the Panthers’ games, collecting 55 hits, 54 runs scored, 47 walks, 25 RBI, 15 doubles and five home runs.
The Shamong, NJ native played his high school ball at Bishop Eustace Prep in Pennsauken, NJ where he helped lead them to two conference championships.
