Panthers Fall to No.1 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Pitt women's lacrosse fell to No. 1 North Carolina, 19-3, Saturday morning at Dorrance Field, dropping to 3-4 on the season and 2-3 in ACC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Tar Heels controlled play from the opening draw, taking a 13-0 lead into halftime. Avery Moon converted a free-position opportunity in the third quarter for Pitt's first goal of the afternoon, and Kaitlyn Magdar and Paige Telatovich added scores in the fourth.
GAME NOTES
- Moon's free-position goal extended her point streak to 23 consecutive games.
- Magdar scored her first goal of the season in the contest.
- Pitt won the draw battle, 12-10.
- Molly Cain made six saves in goal.
UP NEXT
The Panthers return home to Highmark Stadium Wednesday to host American. First draw is set for 1 p.m. Admission to all home games is free for all fans.
