Wagner Named Preseason Top 50 Third Baseman by D1Baseball

PITTSBURGH – Pitt redshirt-junior Kai Wagner was named a Preseason Top 50 Third Baseman by D1Baseball. The Parker, CO native came in at No. 45 in D1Baseball's rankings.
Wagner was an All-Summit League Honorable Mention and CSC Academic All-District Team honoree last year at Northern Colorado. He played and started in every game for the Bears in his two years with the program. In his 96 games at Northern Colorado, Wagner batted .339 with 130 hits, 104 RBIs, 28 doubles and 19 home runs.
The Panthers begin their 2026 season on Friday, February 13th against the Western Michigan Broncos in Port Charlotte, FL.
