
Panthers Set for Final Regular Season Meet

PITTSBURGH – Pitt Track and Field will make the hour and a half drive south to Morgantown, West Virginia for the one-day Stan Romanoski Open at Mylan Park Track and Field Complex on Saturday.
Field events are scheduled to start at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Track events begin later in the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m. with the women's 4x100 relay.
The Panthers displayed their prowess last weekend at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia. Devin Nugent repeated as the 400-meter hurdles champion with a personal best time of 50.36. Nugent was named a PNC Achiever of the Week for his success.
Norrah Lemongo was crowned the women's shot put champion. Lemongo threw for 16.34-meters on the final day of action to earn the coveted watch. Additionally, the sophomore from Cameroon recorded a 55.53-meter personal best in the hammer throw to earn a bronze medal on the opening day of competition.
The Stan Romanoski Open marks the final meet on the schedule prior to ACC Championships (May 15-17) and the NCAA East Regional (May 28-31).
