Hendrickson Scores Five, Pitt Gets Wire-to-Wire Win Over Owls

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Pitt Lacrosse scored the first goal in Tuesday's midweek matchup and never looked back, never trailing in their 13-10 win over the Temple Owls.
Sophomore Paige Telatovich picked up where she left off in the previous game, when she scored her first two goals of 2025, with the Panther opener just 1:56 into the contest. The goal started what was a lot of back and forth scoring between the two Pennsylvania squads, with Temple scoring two goals of their own in the first quarter sandwiched around Avery Moon's 17th of the season.
The Panthers and Owls traded second period goals, each doubling their output from the previous quarter. Emily Coughlin scored her first goal since February 27th, Telatovich netted her second and Jenna Hendrickson opened her offensive account with two, second quarter tallies before the teams entered the locker rooms tied at six.
The visitors from Western Pennsylvania began to take control in the third quarter and outscored the hosts 7-4 in the second half overall to grab the victory. Kaitlyn Giandonato put her 20th of 2025 in the back of the net, before Hendrickson finished off a hat trick and added a fourth to complete the Pitt scoring of the stanza. Coughlin grabbed a second before freshman Gigi Leonzi put one past the goalie from the free position and Telatovich recorded the first hat trick of her young career to extend the Panther lead to 12-9. Hendrickson scored the last Pitt goal, her fifth, marking the second-straight game that she has tied a career-best five goals in one game.
The Panthers used the draw control circle to gain control in the contest with a 20-6 edge. Aidan Carr picked up a Panther program record 15 to set a new standard in the blue and gold.
Pitt will look to carry the momentum from their win on the road again Saturday, as they travel north to face No. 1 Boston College. The ACC game is set for a 12 PM start.
