
Cesarone Named a NCAA Regional Qualifier on Vault

PITTSBURGH – Graduate Elizabeth Cesarone has been named a NCAA Regional qualifier on vault, announced on Monday afternoon. This marks Cesarone's second consecutive NCAA Regional appearance after advancing on vault as an individual last season at Central Michigan. She holds a 9.840 NQS (National Qualifying Score) heading into regionals.
Cesarone transferred to Pitt for her final year of eligibility after four seasons at Central Michigan. She holds a career-high 9.925 on vault, 9.900 on floor and 9.900 on beam, set earlier this season against Kent State. Cesarone won three vault titles this season and recorded at least a 9.825 in eight meets. She also won the beam title against the Golden Flashes. Cesarone competed well in her first ACC Championship this past weekend, recording a 9.850 on vault, 9.800 on floor and 9.750 on beam.
She is slated to compete at Penn State's Rec Hall from April 2-6.
