
Panthers Pick Up Two Wins At Ohio State Quad Meet

COLUMBUS – Pitt picked up two wins against West Virginia and Kent State at the Ohio State quad meet on Sunday afternoon with a 195.925. A 49.175 on vault and bars, multiple season highs and a career-high from Jaime Pratt on vault propelled Pitt to an excellent afternoon.
Beam
Graduate Elizabeth Cesarone got the Panthers off to a hot start in the opening rotation with a solid 9.825 on beam. Emily Todd, Reyna Garvey and Julie Røttum Madsø recorded 9.775s, and Meika Lee earned a 9.750.
Floor
Cesarone led off with a 9.800 on floor, and freshman Lee continued to be an anchor on the event with a 9.850. Jah'Liyah Bedminster added to Pitt's score with a 9.750.
Vault
The Panthers were dominant on vault throughout the whole rotation as they recorded a season-high 49.175. Bedminster came up big with a season-high 9.900, and Jaime Pratt impressed with a career-high 9.850. Kennedy Duke matched that to tie her season high, and Cesarone notched a 9.825. This marks the seventh meet this season that she has at least recorded that impressive score. Rookie Olivia Giunta contributed with a 9.750.
Bars
Pitt closed out the quad meet with a 49.175 on bars as five Panthers recorded at least a 9.800. Pratt and Bedminster tied their season highs with a 9.875 and 9.850, respectively. Røttum Madsø and Emily Todd earned 9.825s as Madsø matched her career high for the second straight meet. Senior Jordyn Ewing registered a 9.800 to help put Pitt in great position for a second-place finish.

Pitt will head to Greensboro, N.C. for ACC Championships on Saturday, March 22. The Panthers compete in the first session at 2:30 p.m. at the First Horizon Coliseum on ACC Network.
