Burton Embarks on NCAA Indoor Championships

PITTSBURGH – Senior standout Je'Nyia Burton will represent Pitt Track and Field at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend, March 14-15, in Virginia Beach, Va. at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Burton will be one of the top sixteen student-athletes from across the country competing in the women's 400-meter race. Burton was crowned the ACC Champion in the event on March 3. Burton broke the school record for the first time back on February 14 at the Clemson Tiger Paw with a time of 52.60. She has continued to develop, dropping her time to 51.87 in the preliminary round at ACC Championships and then 51.82 one day later to win gold.
The women's 400-meter heats begin at 4 p.m. on Friday. The top eight times will advance to the finals on Saturday at 3:20 p.m. Live results can be found here.
