NOTES
- Pitt opened the season at the NFCA Leadoff Classic last weekend, recording a 3-2 record for the weekend. Pitt defeated Morgan State (12-2), Southern Miss (8-1), and Kennesaw State (2-0). The Panthers dropped to Kentucky (7-0) and No. 6 Tennessee (8-3).
- The Panthers dominated the diamond during the opening weekend, combining to commit just two errors in five games. Pitt had a throwing error against Kentucky and an error in the infield against Tennessee. The Panthers boast a .985 fielding percentage, the highest fielding percentage among ACC teams in the opening weekend.
- Senior transfer Saleyna Daniel was named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament team after leading the Panthers with a .545 batting average, with three RBI, two doubles, and a home run.
- Senior Kyra Pittman recorded her first career complete game shutout against Kennesaw State. Pittman allowed three hits, four strikeouts, two walks, and a hit batter in 7.0 innings.
- The Panthers 23-person roster features nine upperclassmen (eight seniors and one graduate student). Eight of the nine are expected to be potential starters: Kaitlyn Brannstrom (1B), Kendall Brown (LHP), Desirae Martinez (3B), Amanda Ramirez (DP/C), Ana Hernandez (SS), Kyra Pittman (RHP), Saleyna Daniel (DP/OF), Kylie Griggs (CF).
