THE OPENING TIP

Pitt and Hofstra will both look to bounce back from losses Sunday as the two programs meet for the first time. The game is set to tip at 4 p.m. inside the Petersen Events Center.
Sunday's contest will be televised on ACC Network with Eric Rothman (pbp) and Paul Biancardi (analysis) on the call.
The game will also be broadcast on the Panthers Radio Network (flagship 93.7 The Fan) with Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play) and Curtis Aiken (analysis) on the broadcast.
Under Head Coach Speedy Claxton, Hofstra has won 20+ game in three of the past four seasons.
The two teams have one common opponent thus far - UCF. Hofstra lost 82-78 to the Knights, while Pitt fell 77-67.
Although Pitt and Hofstra have never met before, the Panthers are 19-6 all-time against current members of the CAA. The majority of those results has come against William & Mary, in which Pitt is 9-5 all-time against.
Starting forward Cameron Corhen went over 1,000 career points Tuesday against Texas A&M. He scored 528 points in two seasons at Florida State and now has 484 points through 1+ season at Pitt.
