Pitt Prepped for Final Home Contest of 2025

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball game will play their final home game of the 2025 calendar year when Saint Francis comes to the Petersen Events Center Thursday night at 6 p.m. The match-up can be viewed on ACCNX.

THE OPENING TIP

Pitt fell to Clemson, 73-41 in the ACC opener Sunday.
Theresa Hagans Jr. scored a career-high 23 points. The freshman from Utica, NY added three steals, two assists and two rebounds in the 35-minute effort.
Fatima Diakhate added eight points, four rebounds and two assists.

SERIES HISTORY

Pitt leads the series 11-3.
The Panthers are on a five-game win streak over the Red Flash.
The last meeting was two years ago at home, an 87-62 Pitt victory on Nov. 29, 2023.

SCOUTING THE RED FLASH

Saint Francis is 0-9 this season, with all their contests coming in the non-conference.
The Red Flash are led in scoring by Aleah James (12.4 ppg) and Shelby Ricks (10.5 ppg).
Ricks leads the Red Flash in rebound with 5.1 rebounds per game, while James averages 3.3 assists per game to lead the team.
Sonia Sato averages one block per game. Sato has recorded two blocks in each of the past three games.
