Pitt Drops ACC Opener at Clemson

Hagans Jr. Posts Career-High 23 Points
CLEMSON, SC – Theresa Hagans Jr. scored a career-high 23 points and played a career-high 34 minutes as Pitt fell to Clemson in their ACC opener, 73-41.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Pitt jumped out to a 5-0 lead behind a layup and an and-one by Theresa Hagans Jr. but Clemson closed the period on a 17-0 run to bring a 22-9 lead into the second period. The Tigers connected on five three-pointers in the second frame to extend their lead to 41-19 at halftime.
Fatima Diakhate scored eight points and collected four rebounds. Mikayla Johnson chipped in seven points.
UP NEXT
Pitt will play their final home game of 2025 on Thursday, Dec. 18 against Saint Francis. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
