THE OPENING TIP

On the heels of Thanksgiving, Pitt welcomes Ohio State to the Petersen Events Center Friday at 7 p.m. The two programs will meet for just the second time since 2002.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 with Mike Corey (pbp) and Terrence Oglesby (analysis) on the call.
The game will also be broadcast on the Panthers Radio Network (flagship 93.7 The Fan) with Bill Hillgrove (play-by-play) and Curtis Aiken (analysis) on the broadcast.
Pitt and Ohio State have faced each other 27 times previously, with Ohio State earning 15 wins. The Panthers, though, have won the last three meetings, including a wild 91-90 overtime victory in Columbus a year ago.
Pitt is 4-1 at home this year, while Ohio State has not left Columbus to open the 2025-26 season. The Buckeyes, however, have not won a true road non-conference game since defeating Notre Dame in South Bend, 90-85, on Dec. 8, 2020.
