PITTSBURGH – Sophomore Thomas McMahon is set to make his first appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
The 10K race will kick off at 11:10 a.m. and can be seen on ESPNU. 32 men's teams will be competing for a national championship in addition to the individual title.
McMahon automatically qualified for the championship meet with his 8th place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships a week ago. The sophomore from Columbus, Ohio will be the fifth male in program history to compete in the meet, joining Keith Dowling (1989, 1990), Mike Umbleby (1994), Jack Miller (2022), and Luke Henseler (2022, 2023). Dowling achieved the Panthers best finish at the meet, claiming 12th in 1990.
