Pitt Swimming Sets Two Program Records on Day 1 of Texas Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas — Pitt recorded four top-8 finishes Tuesday to open the Texas Invitational.
The Pitt women had two top-8 finishes, including sixth-place results in the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay. Claire Jansen highlighted the performances with a program-record lead-off in the 200-yard medley relay, posting a 23.89 in the 50 backstroke.
On the men's side, Pitt also had two top-8 finishes, placing fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay and seventh in the 200-yard medley relay. Julian Koch led off the 800 relay with a program-record split of 1:33.21.
The Panthers return to action Wednesday for the second day of the Texas Invitational.
