PITTSBURGH - The Pitt swimming program will hit the road, traveling to Austin for the Texas Swimming Invitational while the diving team will head to Ohio State for the weekend.

The Pitt swimming program closed out the weekend with a sweep over Akron and Miami (OH), highlighted by 15 wins in the pool.
The Panthers took home four first place finishes over ranked Michigan last weekend. On the men's side, Julian Koch paced the Panthers with wins in both the 50 freestyle (19.83) and 100 freestyle (43.99). Donat Fabian added a third-place finish in the 50 free (20.43).
For the women, Claire Jansen earned a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke (1:58.01) and a runner-up showing in the 100 back (54.48). Sydney Gring captured the top spot in the 100 butterfly (53.46), while Allie Witdoeckt rounded out the top three with a season-best time of 54.82.
The Pitt diving team will return to action after a pair of wins at home in the Knockout Showcase. The Panthers dominated the men's preliminary round, led by Bernard, who posted the top score of 372.95. Chase Marafioto followed with a 365.25, and Ethan Radio secured the third Pitt spot in the bracket with a 321.85. CMU's Nicholas Shuster also advanced.
On the women's side, Dickerson led the field with a 314.40, just ahead of teammate Jocelyn Brooks at 309.45. Duquesne's Ashley Felitsky and CMU's Clarissa Co earned the third and fourth seeds, respectively. Dickerson's winning prelim score qualified her for NCAA Zones, along with Pitt's Cassie Guerrera, who scored 287.95.
Panthers to Watch
Julian Koch: Set new school and pool records in the 100 freestyle (41.85) and currently ranks fifth nationally. Took home two first place finishes against Michigan.
Sydney Gring: Broke the program record in the 200 butterfly (1:56.07) and stands sixth nationally in the 100 fly (51.62). Took home a first-place finish at Michigan.
Alan Vergine: Established new school and pool records in the 200 fly (1:42.49), ranking 12th nationally.
Claire Jansen: Ranks 13th nationally in the 100 backstroke (51.92). Added a first-place finish against ranked Michigan.
Noah Bernard: Canadian National Champion, NCAA qualifier, Junior World Champion Finalist, Knockout Champion
Jocelyn Brooks: Pitt's most recent 3-meter dual meet champion, Junior National qualifier, ACC Scorer
