Panthers Secure Victories over Duquesne, CMU

PITTSBURGH — The Pitt men's and women's swimming teams opened the season with dominant wins over Carnegie Mellon and Duquesne on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Trees Pool.
The Panthers earned first-place finishes in all 14 events and swept seven, including six on the women's side. Junior Sydney Gring and sophomore Alex Bauer competed in every event throughout the meet.
It marks the second-straight year Pitt has started its season with a victory.
The Panthers will return to action next weekend, sending select individuals to the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup from Oct. 17–19. Pitt will be back at Trees Pool on Oct. 24–25 to host Penn State.
