Coach Waldrum Leads Nigerian National Team to Qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics

PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA - Under the direction of Coach Randy Waldrum, Pitt women's soccer student-athlete Deborah Abiodun and the Nigerian Super Falcons have qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The Super Falcons topped South Africa 1-0 on aggregate over two legs in the Olympic Qualifying games to secure their spot at the 2024 Olympic Football Tournament. This will be their first appearance in over 16 years after their last Olympic match in 2008. Abiodun is set to compete in both her sophomore Pitt campaign as well as at the 2024 Paris Olympics under Pitt head Coach Waldrum.
The Tournament will kickoff on Thursday, July 25 with the final Women's Gold Medal Match slated for Saturday, August 10.
