SOUTH BEND, IN – The 2024 Pitt Lacrosse season continues Saturday, when the Panthers face off with the No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Arlotta Stadium on the Notre Dame campus. Things will get underway in the conference battle at 11 AM.
The newly minted sixth-ranked team in the nation has beaten Pitt in each of the first two games in this series. The Fighting Irish already have wins over Northwestern, North Carolina and Boston College this season and sit at 9-2 overall and 3-2 in the ACC. Four student-athletes have already reached the 30-point mark with Jackie Wolak (34G, 16A), Kasey Choma (26G, 14A), Madison Ahern (29G, 8A) and Mary Kelly Dohert (20G, 10A) leading the way. Lilly Callahan has started each of the 11 games to this point with a .421 save percentage and 71 saves on the year.
Pitt most recently fell to the Virginia Tech Hokies, 13-9, at Highmark Stadium. Junior Jenna Hendrickson had a hat trick to pace the Panthers attack. She leads the offense statistically as well, with a team-best 25 goals and 33 points overall.
After this weekend, Pitt will have to turn around and respond quickly, as the Panthers host Central Michigan on Tuesday, April 2. Follow all the Pitt Lacrosse action 24/7 on Instagram and X: @Pitt_WLAX.
