PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women’s basketball team (8-22, 2-15 ACC) returns home for their regular season finale Sunday afternoon as they welcome the Boston College Eagles to the Petersen Events Center. Sunday’s game will tip at 12:00 pm and air on ACC Network.

- Senior Liatu King continued her stellar play for the Panthers last time out as she recorded her 17th double-double of the season with a team-high 18 points, 11 rebounds and four steals at Miami. She is the only player in the NCAA this season averaging at least 19.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks per game
- King ranks inside the top-5 in the ACC in multiple categories including fifth in scoring (19.0 ppg), second in rebounding (10.4 rpg), first in offensive rebounds (3.5 orpg), third in blocks (1.5 bpg), fourth in field goal percentage (52.7%), third in minutes played (35.7 mpg) and second in double-doubles (17)
- Junior sharpshooter Bella Perkins has given the Panthers a big boost over the last five games as she has connected on multiple triples in all five games. Over her last five games, Perkins is averaging 11.8 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 42.9% from deep
- The Pitt duo of Liatu King and Rapuluchi Ayodele are one of two in the NCAA this season (Angel Reese, Aneesah Morrow, LSU) to each have at least 94 total offensive rebounds.

KING OF THE COURT
- Senior Liatu King entered ACC play with her expectations at an all-time high as the Pitt coaching staff has instilled a confidence in her as a go-to option this season.
- She is enjoying a career year as she is averaging a team-high 19.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks while shooting 52.7% from the floor.
- King currently ranks inside the top-5 in the ACC in multiple categories including scoring (fifth), rebounding (second), offensive rebounds per game (first), blocks (third), field goal percentage (fourth), double-doubles (second) and minutes per game (second). She is the only player in any Power 5 conference to rank inside the top-5 in each of those categories.
- She is also the only player in the nation currently averaging at least 19.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks per game on the year.
- There has only been one other player (Brionna Jones - Maryland) in the NCAA over the past 15 seasons to post season averages of at least 19.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks with a field goal percentage of at least 52.7%.
- King is the only player in the nation with at least 55 assists, 57 steals and 46 blocks so far this season. Only one player (Angel Reese - LSU) all of last season posted those totals (81 assists, 66 steals, 57 blocks).
- King and Emily Engstler (Louisville 2021-22) are the only ACC players in the past 15 seasons to post at least 55 assists, 57 steals and 46 blocks in a season.
- So far in ACC play, King is averaging 18.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.4 blocks while shooting 52.0% from the floor. She ranks sixth in scoring, second in rebounding, third in field goal percentage and seventh in blocks in ACC games.
- Last time out at Miami, she recorded her 17th double-double of the season as she netted a team-high 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and four steals in 38 minutes.
- Overall this season, she has scored 10+ points in 28 of 30 games while posting 15+ points a career-high 24 times.
- Her 24 games with 15+ points are the most in a season by a Pitt player since Shavonte Zellous in 2008-09 (31 games with 15+ points).
- She now has a career-high 11 games with 20+ points this season which are the most in a season by a Pitt player since Brianna Kiesel had 16 during the 2014-15 season.
- Overall, King has 18 games with at least 10 rebounds so far this season including in six of her last eight games. She ranks second in the ACC in double figure rebounding games (Kitley - 19).\
- She has secured at least 14 boards in an ACC-high 10 games this season which is also tied for second most games in the nation (Lauren Gaustin - 19).
- Over her last eight games, King is averaging 18.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 47.3% from the floor. She has also notched five double-doubles in those eight games.
- On Feb. 4 King became the 21st member of Pitt’s 1,000 career point club. She is 17 points shy of 13th place on Pitt’s all-time scoring list.

- In the win at Virginia earlier this year, King netted 15 points, 16 rebounds, five steals and four assists. She is the only player in the NCAA this season and one of two players in the ACC over the past 15 seasons (Dearica Hamby - Wake, 2013) to post a game with at least 15 points, 16 rebounds, five steals and four assists.
- King ranks third in the NCAA this season with six games with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds (Elizabeth Kitley, VT - 11, Terren Ward, Ga. Souther - 7).
- She also leads the NCAA with four games of at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and two steals.
- She had a career game against #16 Notre Dame as sge exploded for a career-high 34 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and two assists while going 13-for-18 from the floor and 8-for-11 from the free throw line. She is one of just three players in the NCAA this season to post a game with at least 34 points and 13 rebounds (Caitlin Clark - Iowa, Aneesah Morrow - LSU) while being the only player in the country to also add three blocks in the same game.
- The 34 points for King are the second most by a Pitt player at the Petersen Events Center trailing only Asia Logan’s 36 against William & Mary on Nov. 11, 2012.
- King is the first opponent to score at least 34 points and 13 rebounds in a game against Notre Dame in the past 15 seasons.
- In the win over NKU earlier this year, King went off for 30 points and nine rebounds while going 14-for-18 from the floor. She is the first ACC player in the past two seasons to score 30+ points, grab nine rebounds, make 14 field goals and shoot 77% from the floor in a single game.
- King currently ranks 46th in the NCAA with 46 blocked shots on the season. She is the only player in the NCAA 6 foot tall or shorter with at least 46 blocked shots on the year.
- She now has 18 games with multiple steals, 19 games with multiple assists and 13 games with multiple blocks on the year.
- She has scored in double figures 52 times in her career while recording multiple blocks 31 times.
- A ferocious rebounder, King has grabbed at least five rebounds in 75 of her 105 career games. She has led the Panthers in rebounding 53 times while snagging 10+ boards 33 times in her career.

SERIES HISTORY – BOSTON COLLEGE
- This meeting marks the 56th of all-time between the two programs with Boston College owning the 35-20 lead in the series.
- The Eagles won the meeting earlier this year in Chestnut Hill 84-71 in overtime. Overall, Boston College has won five of the last six games in the all-time series.
- Pitt is 11-14 all-time against Boston College in games played in Pittsburgh including a 75-64 victory last season at the Pete.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- Boston College enters Sunday’s game with a 12-18 overall record and a 4-13 ACC mark after downing North Carolina 78-74 at home on Thursday.
- Andrea Daley is leading the Eagles offense as she is averaging 13.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals while shooting 49.8% from the floor. Teya Sidberry is enjoying a good season as she is averaging 13.2 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds while racking up 54 steals and a team-high 20 blocks.
- Dontavia Waggoner is averaging 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and a team-high 91 steals on the season while T’yana Todd is averaging 11.5 points and connecting on a team-high 39 three-pointers.
- As a team, the Eagles are averaging 70.6 points per game while shooting 42.0% from the floor and 27.4% from behind the arc. Boston College is also averaging 35.3 rebounds per game while turning the ball over an average of 16.0 times per game.
LAST TIME OUT – AT MIAMI
- After a strong first quarter, the Panthers were outscored by 13 in the second quarter as they fell on the road to Miami Thursday, 62-44.
- Liatu King led the Panthers in scoring once again as she finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and four assists in 38 minutes of work. It marked her 17th double-double of the season.
- Rapuluchi Ayodele had another strong game on the glass as she grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds (six offensive) while Bella Perkins came off the bench and netted eight points on a pair of made triples.
- For the game, Pitt was held to just 29% shooting while the Hurricanes shot 41.8% from the floor in the win. Pitt held the 43-32 lead in rebounds but Miami scored 18 points off of 22 Pitt turnovers in the home victory.
PERKINS COMING ALIVE
- Junior guard Bella Perkins has shown flashes of becoming a big time player for the Panthers and they will rely on that down the stretch of the regular season.
- So far this season, Perkins is averaging 7.3 points and 1.7 rebounds while connecting on a team-high 47 three-pointers.
- Last time out, Perkins came off the bench and netted eight points and two rebounds while connecting on two triples in the loss at Miami.
- Over her last five games, Perkins is averaging 11.8 points and 2.6 rebounds while connecting on 42.9% of her three-point attempts (15-for-35). She has came off the bench in all five games while hitting multiple triples in each contest.
- In the road win over Clemson, Perkins came off the bench and netted 16 points and three rebounds while draining four three-pointers in 31 minutes of work. Her timely buckets in the fourth quarter helped lead Pitt to victory.
- Perkins now has a career-high 10 games scoring in double figures this season including in three of her last four games.
- She has connected on multiple three-pointers in a team-high 15 games this season including draining a season-best four triples in three games (Lehigh, UNC, Clemson).
- Earlier this season in the win over Lehigh, Perkins went off for a career-high 22 points, five assists, three steals and three rebounds while going 7-for-15 from the floor and 4-for-7 from behind the arc.
- She has a career-high nine games with multiple assists and three games with multiple steals on the year.
