Bottelier, Olujide-Ajibade Qualify for 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships

PITTSBURGH – Two athletes, Foluke Olujide-Ajibade and Lydia Bottelier, of the University of Pittsburgh women's track and field team have qualified for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston, Ma. on March 7-9 at the TRACK at new balance.
Senior Foluke Olujide-Ajibade will compete in the women's weight throw starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th. Olujide-Ajibade took silver at the 2024 ACC Championship meet. The Dublin, Ohio native threw for 21.67m, breaking her own personal and school record of 21.35m in the process.
Graduate student Lydia Bottelier will kick off the final pentathlon competition of her collegiate career at 9:50 a.m. on Friday, March 8th with the 60m hurdles. Bottelier is currently tied for the twelfth best score in the NCAA with 4150 points, recorded at the Penn State National Open, on January 26th. The Erwinna, Pa. native placed fourth in the pentathlon at the 2024 ACC Championship meet, where she finished in second in the 800m and the high jump, fifth in the 60m hurdles and shot put, and 7th in the long jump for a total of 4093 points.
