PITTSBURGH – Coming off consecutive victories, the Pitt women's basketball team will travel to face ACC foe and No. 13-ranked Georgia Tech Sunday evening at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, Ga.
Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m., and the game can be streamed via ACCNX.

Pitt has won three of its last four games, including wins over Saint Peter's, New Hampshire and Utah Tech. The Panthers' lone defeat during the stretch came in the ACC opener to Miami by six (62-56). With the win over Utah Tech, the Panthers matched last season's win total (8) through only 14 games.
Dominance Down Low
Against Utah Tech, senior forward MaKayla Elmore recorded her first double-double as a Panther, logging 10 points and 15 rebounds. Graduate center Khadija Faye continued her stellar 2024-25 campaign, stuffing the stat sheet with 19 points, seven boards, five blocks and four steals.
Faye is averaging 17.1 points and 10.6 rebounds, including an ACC-leading 5.3 offensive boards per game. She is also anchoring a Panther defense that allows only 59.9 points per contest - good for eighth in the league.
Washenitz on the Defensive End
Junior guard Marely Washenitz has wreaked havoc on the defensive end for opposing guards all season, averaging 2.1 steals per game. Notably, she tied her career-high with five steals against Utah Tech.

Pitt closed non-conference play with a 61-52 victory over Utah Tech last Saturday evening at Burns Arena in St. George, Utah.
Pitt jumped out to an early 10-3 lead behind a pair of triples from Elmore, forcing a Utah Tech timeout. Coming out of the break, the Panthers went on a 6-1 run to extend their lead to 12. The two sides exchanged baskets for the remainder of the period as Pitt held a 21-12 advantage after 10 minutes of action.
After an Elmore layup opened the second quarter scoring, Audrey Biggs drained a triple from the right wing, beating the shot clock and extending Pitt's lead to 14 at the 7:21 mark. The two sides traded baskets for nearly four minutes of action before Faye went on a personal 5-0 burst, giving Pitt a 16 point lead – its largest of the half. The Trailblazers then scored five unanswered, narrowing their deficit to 11 to close the second quarter.
The Panthers were paced by Faye and Elmore during the first 20 minutes of play, as the duo combined for 21 points and 10 rebounds. Faye also anchored Pitt defensively, adding three blocks and three steals.
The third quarter opened as a back-and-forth affair, before a 15-6 Utah Tech run brought the Trailblazers within six at the 4:48 mark. Biggs immediately responded to Utah Tech's onslaught with a triple from the top of the key. Both sides were limited to just one field goal over the final four minutes of the third quarter as Pitt led, 51-42, entering the final period.
The Panthers and Trailblazers exchanged field goals for the first few minutes of the fourth quarter, before four unanswered points from Utah Tech made it a five-point game. Pitt then outscored the Trailblazers, 8-4 over the final seven minutes of action to earn the 61-52 victory.
