PITTSBURGH -- Three Pitt women's soccer players have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. Sarah Schupansky and Chloe Minas earned the accolade for the second consecutive season, while Olivia Lee was a first-time honoree.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Schupansky is also among the Academic All-District® honorees considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Dec. 11, 2024 (women).
A Third Team CSC Division I Academic All-America selection a year ago, Schupansky posted 29 points on seven goals and an NCAA-leading 15 assists as Pitt finished the season with a 9-6-3 record in 2024. She set the school single season assists (15) record as a senior and finished her career with program records for assists (43) and starts (78). Schupansky also placed second in the career record books in points (107), shots (251), and shots on goal (117).
Minas, a two-time CSC Academic All-District pick, totaled one goal and two assists this season from her defensive midfield position. She closed her stellar career at Pitt with 11 points (one goal, nine assists) in 68 starts over 76 games.
Lee, a sophomore defender, had an excellent second season at Pitt starting all 18 games and playing a team-leading 1,519 minutes. She scored her first career goal in a win over Dartmouth and helped the Panthers to six shutouts in 2024.
