Todd Secures First-Ever ACC Newcomer of the Week

PITTSBURGH - The Pitt gymnastics freshman, Emily Todd secured the first-ever ACC Newcomer of the Week honor, announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
This is the conference's first ever ACC Newcomer of the Week honor in the inaugural year of ACC Gymnastics.
The Bristol, England native made her collegiate debut as a Pitt Panther on Friday night at the Keystone Classic in Philadelphia, PA. Her efforts helped Pitt propel past Penn and Temple to take second overall in the quad meet. Todd showcased her skills and competed in three events on Friday: Bars, Beam and Floor. The Freshman secured a 9.800 on bars with her routine – receiving a 9.850 from one judge. With her performance on Bars, the team produced the highest team event score of the evening – posting a 49.100.
UP NEXT
The Pitt Panthers will head back to Pittsburgh for their home opener as they welcome Kent State on Saturday, Jan. 13. This dual meet is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
