PITTSBURGH—The No. 15 Pitt wrestling team will meet its sixth ranked opponent of the season on Sunday when the Panthers (7-4) dual with the Sun Devils (2-4, 1-1 Pac-12) of No. 24 Arizona State.
Fans can purchase tickets here or at the Fitzgerald Field House door for the Pitt-Arizona State dual, which will serve as the program's Military Appreciation Day and Alumni Day. The first 500 fans to arrive will also receive a Pitt camo rally towel to cheer on the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
The 2 p.m. ET matchup at Fitzgerald Field House will air on ACC Network Extra via the ESPN app with a valid ACC Network subscription.
The enticing ACC-Pac-12 dual ends a stretch of a dozen nonconference duals for the Panthers, who will seek their third ranked victory of the season after beating No. 17 Lehigh and No. 5 Ohio State previously.
Head coach Keith Gavin will take an unchanged Pitt projected lineup that features nine ranked wrestlers, including all five heavyweights ranked in the top 15 of this week's InterMat polls, led by senior captain Holden Heller, who is ranked No. 11 at 165 pounds this week.
No. 15 Luca Augustine at 174 pounds, No. 12 Reece Heller at 184, No. 13 Mac Stout at 197 and No. 12 Dayton Pitzer at heavyweight give the Panthers a loaded final five in the lineup.
No. 31 Colton Camacho at 125, No. 20 Vinnie Santaniello at 133, No. 27 Cole Matthews at 141, No. 29 Finn Solomon at 149 and are also ranked for the Panthers, while the Sun Devils' projected squad features six ranked wrestlers, including top-5 individuals at 149, 157 and heavyweight.
Arizona State leads the all-time series in wrestling with Pitt, 3-2, but the Panthers emerged with an upset win over the then sixth-ranked Sun Devils in the last meeting, 24-19, in January 2022.
