
No. 17 Pitt Returns To Ambrose Monday Night As FDU Comes To Town

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt men's soccer team (2-2-2, 1-0-1 ACC) returns home Monday night for a non-conference battle against the NEC favorites FDU (3-1-2, 0-0-0 NEC). Monday's match at Ambrose Urbanic Field will kick at 7:00 pm and air live on ACC Network Extra.
GAME PROMOTIONS
- Monday's match will be Jr. Panthers Night at Ambrose Urbanic Field
- The first 250 fans in attendance on Monday will receive a Pitt Soccer keychain
- Following the match, the Panthers will be signing autographs for all fans

THE SERIES VS. FDU
- This meeting marks the first matchup between the two programs all-time.
- The Panthers currently own a 24-6-2 (.781) record all-time against current NEC members.
- Pitt collected a 5-0 victory over Howard of the NEC earlier this season at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
- FDU comes to town with a 3-1-2 overall record on the year as they downed Lafayette 1-0 on the road last Tuesday.
- The Knights are being led offensively by Eric Dlabal who has two goals on four shots including one game-winning tally. Tony Gomez has contributed one goal and one assist on a team-high 14 shots so far this season.
- In goal, Spencer King has started all six matches as he owns a 3-1-2 record to go along with a 0.67 goals-against average and four clean sheets. He has made 32 saves on the year.
- The Knights were tabbed to defend their NEC title in the preseason coaches poll after they won the title a season ago and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
LAST TIME OUT AT BOSTON COLLEGE
- The Panthers stayed unbeaten in ACC play Friday night as they earned a hard-fought 0-0 road draw against Boston College.
- For the match, Pitt held the 7-6 edge in shots while the Eagles owned the 9-2 advantage in corner kicks in the physical match.
- In goal, Cabral Carter recorded his second straight clean sheet as he finished his night with two saves. Carter hasn't allowed a goal in 200:35 minutes dating back to the second half against No. 2 Marshall.
- Luka Kozomara and Michael Sullivan led the Panthers with two shots each in the draw.

- Appearing in two College Cups in the past three seasons, the Pitt men's soccer team has been one of the most successful programs in the nation.
- Pitt is the only team in the nation to appear in each of the past three Elite Eights.
- Over the past four seasons (2020-23), Pitt is tied for fourth in total wins among all teams in the nation with 42 victories.
- The Panthers have collected at least 12 wins in each of the past three seasons.

CARTER EARNS ANOTHER SHUTOUT
- Taking over as the starting goalkeeper in his second year in the program, Cabral Carter is proving to be one of the best keepers in the conference.
- On the year, Carter owns a 2-2-2 overall record to go along with a 1.33 goals-against average and three clean sheets.
- Last time out at Boston College, Carter made a pair of stops as he secured his second straight shutout. It marks the first time in his young career he has earned two straight clean sheets.
- The California native currently owns a shutout streak of 200:35 as he hasn't allowed a goal in ACC play yet this season.
