LEADING OFF
- Pitt softball will celebrate senior weekend as they close out the regular season with a three-game series against the NC State Wolfpack at Vartabedian Field, May 5-7. All three games will be broadcasted on the ACC Network.
- The Panthers host the Wolfpack at Vartabedian Field for the first time since 2018, where they won the series 2-1.
- This weekend will mark the first meeting between the two teams since 2021. The Wolfpack took all four games during the last meeting at the Dail Softball Stadium.
- Entering the final home stand of the regular season, Yvonne Whaley is on track to set program records in career batting average, single season batting average and single season doubles.
- Whaley tied the single season program record with her 17th double of the season on April 16 against Georgia Tech.
- Sarah Seamans has hit 29 home runs in her career, currently ranking 5th in all-time program history (4th - Maggie Sevilla, 33).
- Dani Drogemuller has recorded 120 strikeouts for her second consecutive 100+ strikeout season. Drogemuller is the third Panther to record two 100+ strikeouts seasons along with Savanah King (2012, 2014) and Cory Berliner (2008, 2010).
- Drogemuller is the first pitcher since Meghan Bostick (2006, 2007) to have 100 or more strikeouts in consecutive seasons.
- Dani Drogemuller has recorded four saves this season, currently tied for the second most in Pitt single-season program history (1st - Laura LeViere; 11 - 1999). Drogemuller is the first Pitt pitcher to record four saves in a single season since Savanah King also recorded four saves in 2014.
- Kat Rodriguez set a program record by going 6-for-6 at the plate against Georgia Tech on April 15. Rodriguez is the first DI player to record six hits in a single game since Sydney Canessa (Fordham) in 2017. The six-hit game is the first by a Power 5 player in the last nine years.
