- Pitt softball continues its eight-game road stint with a midweek non-conference matchup with Robert Morris at the North Athletic Complex in Moon Township, Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. with live stats available through SidearmStats. The game will not be broadcasted.
- The Panthers claimed the series against Notre Dame to begin their road stretch. Pitt went 2-1 over the weekend, picking up wins against the Fighting Irish by the scores of 8-5 and 13-11. This marked the first series win for the Panthers since sweeping North Carolina in a four-game series April 16-18, 2021.
- The Panthers will continue their road stretch at Robert Morris (April 4), North Carolina (April 7-9) and at Saint Francis (April 11).
- Pitt began its season with six-straight trips on the road (25 games). The Panthers have traveled to Clearwater, Fla., Miami, Fla., Houston, Texas, Memphis, Tenn., and Louisville, Ky.
- The trip across town marks the 41st meeting between Pitt and Robert Morris and just the second meeting in the last nine seasons.
- The Panthers lead the all-time series 24-16-1 and have won the last two meetings against the Colonials.
- Pitt will play at the North Athletic Complex for the first time since 2013, playing a doubleheader April 3 where Robert Morris came out with two victories by the scores of 6-1, and 6-2.
- Seven of the Panthers' wins have come by four or more runs, including three wins by eight or more runs. 11 of their 14 losses have been decided by three or fewer runs with four loses being decided by one run.
- The Panthers have out-hit their opponents in 16 of 31 games this season, including outhitting the FIU Panthers 21-12 over two games Feb. 17-18.
- Yvonne Whaley is the toughest batter to strikeout in the ACC and one of the toughest batters in the NCAA. Whaley is batting .437 on the season and has recorded just three strikeouts in 87 at-bats this season.
- Whaley and Sarah Seamans each rank in the top 10 of the ACC in batting average. Whaley is fourth overall in batting average (.437) while Seamans is ranked sixth (.415).
- Seamans leads the Panthers in slugging percentage (.745), total bases (70), runs scored (21), hits (39), RBI
- (20) and home runs (7) and is second in batting average (.415), OPS (1.231), stolen bases (10).
- Kayla Lane leads the team and ranks 10th in the ACC with 11 stolen bases, going 11-for-12 on attempts this season. Lane has recorded four games with two swiped bags.
- Abby Edwards (6-7) is having a strong season, leading the Panthers' pitching staff with a 3.62 ERA (35 ER/67.2 IP) and has recorded a career high 66 strikeouts this season.
