CLEMSON, SC – Pitt lacrosse is on the road for their final regular season contest of 2023, as the Panthers face the No. 17 Clemson Tigers Thursday at 5 p.m. from Historic Riggs Field.
Last time out, the Panthers fell to No. 8 Notre Dame by a score of 17-6. Ava Washington scored three and added a goal and an assist, but it wasn't enough to counter a Notre Dame attack that got off to an 8-0 start before Pitt scored.
Clemson is playing in their inaugral season and is 11-5 overall with a 3-5 ACC record. Their previous game is a win over Virginia Tech 16-12 in Blacksburg. Gianna New leads the Tiger offense with 60 points (46G, 14A) and Hanna Hilcoff has 56 points (48G, 8A). Goalie Emily Lamparter has made 96 saves on the season.
The Panthers will travel for an ACC Championship Round One matchup this weekend and will learn the opponent and location after regular season play concludes.
