Pitt Hosts No. 8 Notre Dame in Final Regular Season Home Game

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Panthers play their last game at Highmark Stadium in the 2023 regular season Friday, as No. 8 Notre Dame comes to town. The Senior Day game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start from Station Square.
Last week, Pitt dropped an ACC matchup with No. 5 North Carolina 16-3 in Chapel Hill. In a downpour, the Tar Heels used a balanced attack and nine assists on 16 goals to stop the Panthers' efforts. Ava Washington, Emily Coughlin and Camdyn O'Donnell scored the lone goals for Pitt and goalies Hannah Van Middelem and Molly Cain stopped eight North Carolina shots.
The Fighting Irish are coming off of a 26-3 win over Butler on Monday. For the season, Notre Dame sits at 9-4 and 4-3 in the ACC. Jackie Wolak leads the way on offense with 34 goals and 33 assists, while Lilly Callahan has made 96 saves in the net.
In 2022, then No. 18 Notre Dame defeated Pitt 19-7 in South Bend.
Friday's contest also marks Senior Day for the Panthers in 2023. Graduates that will be recognized pregame this year are No. 23 Gabriella Turano, No. 25 Brittney Villhauer, No. 42 Hannah Van Middelem and No. 47 Molly Carter.
Additionally, Pitt Lacrosse bucket hats will be given away at Highmark Stadium to fans while supplies last and Panther Club members can show their member cards for a free drink voucher as part of Panther Club Appreciation Day.
Admission to all home games at Highmark Stadium is free for all fans.
