Pitt Continues Home Stand Saturday

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Panthers return to Highmark Stadium for another ACC contest Saturday at 12 p.m. against the #10 Virginia Cavaliers.
Tuesday, March 14, Pitt fell in a non-conference showdown with the Liberty Flames 13-7. The first half was even and tied at five going into the locker room, but the Flames outscored the Panthers 8-2 the final 30 minutes of the game.
Virginia is 6-2 on the season and 2-1 in ACC play so far in 2023. In their last game, the Cavaliers dropped one to Richmond in overtime 16-15. Virginia has three student-athletes with over 30 points already this year: Rachel Clark 34 (27 G, 7 A), Ashlyn McGovern 33 (33 G) and Morgan Schwab 30 (9 G, 21 A).
Last year in Charlottesville, UVA defeated Pitt 17-7. McGovern scored a game-high seven goals in the 2022 battle.
Tomorrow will be the Panthers' Hail to Her game, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a Hail to Her t-shirt. Admission is free for all fans.
