Copperwheat Awarded EAGL Gymnast of the Week for the Fourth Time this Season

Pitt Sophomore Sets Program Record
PITTSBURGH – Pitt sophomore Hallie Copperwheat was awarded Gymnast of the Week announced by the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) on Wednesday.
Copperwheat is the first Pitt gymnast in program history to be awarded this honor four times in one season. Overall, Copperwheat has claimed five EAGL Gymnast of the Week awards.
At the annual Pride Meet against North Carolina, the Leighton Buzzard, England native secured the first-place title overall on beam. She earned a 9.850 for her routine – her third highest score on beam. Her performance on bars earned her the second-place title with her score of 9.900. This was her second highest score on bars of the season.
Copperwheat's overall performance against North Carolina earned her the first-place title in the all-around – scoring a 39.250. Currently, she is ranked No. 2 overall in the all-around in the EAGL conference.
