Pitt Gymnastics to Host Pride Meet Sunday

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team (9-9, 2-2 EAGL) return to the Fitzgerald Filed House to host the North Carolina Tar Heels for the annual Pride Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 p.m.

PRIDE MEET

The first 200 fans will receive Pitt Gymnastics pride T-shirts.

LAST TIME OUT

The University of Pittsburgh gymnastics team (9-9, 2-2 EAGL) knock out the NC State Wolfpack, but fell to the Towson Tigers and Temple Owls at SECU Arena Friday evening.
Both Copperwheat and Pawlak matched the program record and set new career-high scores for their routine – earning a 9.950. Pawlak's routine earned her a 10.00 from one judge.
Copperwheat completed the all-around with her score of a 39.275 – earning the third-place title overall.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS

North Carolina posted a 196.275 to top George Washington, New Hampshire, and LIU.
The Tar Heels took home three of four individual event titles on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Lali Dekanoidze posted a 9.975 on bars to match the school record she set earlier in the season.
Currently, North Carolina remains undefeated in EAGL action at 4-0.
Friday's meet will be the 50th meeting between the fellow EAGL Conference Tar Heels and the. North Carolina currently holds a 36-13 lead over the Panthers.
