PITTSBURGH – Pitt Lacrosse travels to New York for a pair of road games this week beginning with a Thursday afternoon contest against Binghamton at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. as the Panthers look to build on a season-opening win.
The Panthers began 2023 with a dominant win over crosstown foe Duquesne, 16-10. The game was in control for much of the four quarters thanks to a balanced attack with 10 different Pitt goal scorers and goalies Hannah Van Middelem and Molly Cain combining to make 10 saves.
Sophomore Sydney Naylor and senior transfer Camdyn O'Donnell each posted hat tricks while junior Emily Coughlin and sophomore Elise Bialecki led the way defensively with two caused turnovers each.
Last season, the Panthers defeated the Bearcats at Highmark Stadium by a score of 17-11.
