Game Storylines
• In a series long on history and color, Pitt and Notre Dame meet for the 73rd time. The Panthers will visit Notre Dame Stadium for the first time since 2018.
• Ten of the past 13 games between Pitt and Notre Dame have been decided by single digits. That includes each of the past six encounters at Notre Dame Stadium.
• Pitt is looking to snap a three-game losing streak in the series. The Panthers last defeated the Irish in 2013, a 28-21 victory in Pittsburgh.
• The Panthers last won at Notre Dame Stadium in 2008, a 36-33 decision that went four overtimes.
• Pitt is one of just six teams that will play 11 "Power Conference" opponents in 2023, joining Colorado, Louisville, Purdue, Utah and West Virginia.
