
Two Women’s Soccer Players Named to Top Drawer Soccer Freshman Top-100 Mid-Season List

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women's soccer team had two student-athletes named to the annual Top Drawer Soccer Women's National Top 100 , mid-season list, as announced by the organization this week.
Midfielder Deborah Abiodun landed at No. 16 while defender Lainie Fuchs came in at No. 28 on the ranking list. Abiodun's ranking is the highest midseason placement in program history.
So far this season, Abiodun has started in nine games of the 12 she has played, totaling 595 minutes. The midfielder has collected a total of 11 points after posting four goals and three assists thus far. In the matchup against city rival Duquesne, Abiodun secured two goals within 12 minutes. Currently, Abiodun is ranked fourth in the ACC for shot accuracy (.536).
Defender Fuchs has been a strong asset to the backline for Pitt, starting in 11 out of the 13 games played with 799 minutes collected thus far. The Vienna, Austria native secured her first collegiate goal and points in the matchup against Kent State after heading in a clean ball off of a corner kick to secure the win for the Panthers.
