CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- The Pitt cross country squad competed in its second meet of the season Friday morning in Charlottesville, Va. at the Panorama Farms course with the men's team placing third while the women finished in fourth place at the Virginia Invitational.
"Jack Miller was solid, really close to that top 3 and Caroline Rusinski also moved up and was solid at 12," said head coach Brad Herbster. "As a group, we have a lot of work to do on both the men and the women. We need to work on being tough in the middle of race as both teams gave away a lot of points."
The men's squad placed third with 74 points, and the women took home fourth place with 102 points.
The field at the Virginia Invitational was comprised of Virginia, Duke, Miami, and Norfolk State
