Levesque Receives High School Hall of Fame Recognition

PITTSBURGH – Former Pitt standout Hunter Levesque has been selected to the 2023 Hall of Fame class by the New York State Sportwriters & Coaches Organization for Girls Sports (NYSSCOGS), as announced by the organization in early August.
The induction ceremony for the 2023 Hall of Fame class is scheduled for June 17 at the Mudville Softball Complex in Herkimer, N.Y. Additional information on the organization is available HERE.
Levesque, a 2021 Pitt graduate, finished her career third in the Panther record books in triples (7), while earning NFCA Mid-Atlantic Second Team All-Region (2019), Second Team All-ACC (2019) and All-ACC Freshman Team (2018) honors in her career. She started 168 of 170 career games and finished with .299 / .514 / .395 batting splits (AVG / SLG% / OB%). She totaled 139 hits, including 51 extra base hits (21 HR, 23, 2B, 7 3B), 97 runs scored and 77 runs batted in.
The Troy, N.Y.,, native posted her best season as a sophomore leading the team in batting average (.322), slugging percentage (.611), total bases (91), hits (48), runs (31), home runs (11), RBI (31) and steals (11).
Levesque was a five-time all-state selection at Troy High School. She led the Flying Horses to a Section 2 Championship and New York state Regional Championship as a freshman, gathering Class A First-Team All-State honors, Troy Record All-Area First-Team honors and Times Union All-Area First-Team honors, As a sophomore, she was named Class A Second-Team All-State, Troy Record All-Area First-Team selection, Times Union All-Area First-Team selection, finalist for New York state Gatorade Player of the Year finalist and High School Female Athlete of the Year. Levesque helped lead the team to a Section 2 Championship and New York State Regional Championship and was named Class A First-Team All-State, Troy Record Player of the Year, Times Union All-Area First-Team Selection and High School Female Athlete of the Year as a junior.
