Panthers Travel to State College to Face Penn State

PITTSBURGH – The Panthers take to the road following their first ACC win to face in-state foe Penn State Tuesday at Panzer Stadium. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. with the game streaming via BIG+.
After Saturday's dominant win over Louisville, Pitt improved to 7-7 overall and 1-6 in ACC play. Paige Petty led the Panther attack with a season defining game: 7 points (season-high), 5 goals (tied season-high), 2 assists (tied season-high). Petty extended her consecutive games with a point streak to 75 and games in a row with a goal to 42.
Nine Panthers scored in total, including hat tricks from Carlie Leach and Chloe Jones. Goalie Paulina DiFatta continued her strong play and tied her season high in saves with 14.
Penn State has lost four-straight games, including most recently a 13-6 loss to No. 9 Maryland last Thursday. The Nittany Lions are led offensively by Kristin O'Neill with 27 goals and 7 assists and defensively by goalie Ashley Bowan, who has 60 saves and a .411 save percentage.
The Panthers will be away from home again for their next game when they travel to South Bend to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Saturday, April 16 (12 p.m.).
