Panthers Back Home for Matchup with Binghamton Sunday

PITTSBURGH – Pitt Lacrosse returns home for their next game Sunday, March 13 as the Panthers go up against the Binghamton Bearcats. The opening draw at Highmark Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed via ACC Network Extra.
Four-time All-America selection Paige Petty leads the team offensively with 19 goals and 4 assists and a point in every game. Sophomore Kate Elam with 18 (15 goals, 3 assists), graduate transfer Madisyn Kittell with 16 (9 goals, 7 assists), senior Kierin Ratliff-Kailbourne with 11 (8 goals, 6 assists), and junior Carlie Leach with 10 (10 goals) have also surpassed the 10-point mark for Pitt.
Allyson Trice, Therese Pitman, Abby Thorne, and Brittney Villhauer anchor the Pitt defense and have started every game along with goalie Paulina DiFatta who has posted a solid 10.61 goals against average to go along with 8.43 saves per game.
Pitt fell to 3-4 overall and 0-3 in the ACC with a 15-14 loss to #7 Duke on Thursday. Elam scored four goals and the Panthers battled back from multi-goal deficits four times but could not quite close the deal over the top-10 Blue Devils.
Binghamton is 3-3 on the season and are led on offense by Madison Murphy who has 15 goals. Starting goalie Emily Manning is allowing 12.22 goals per game.
