• Pitt concludes a three-game homestand against [4/2] Duke Tuesday, March 1. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. with Dave O'Brien and Cory Alexander calling the game on the ACC Network.
• Tuesday's game marks the final appearance for Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski at the Petersen Events Center. Pitt has won two of the past four meetings at the venue between to two teams, including a 79-73 victory last season.
• Head coach Jeff Capel was a four-year starter (1994-97) under Krzyzewski at Duke. He also spent seven seasons as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils, helping the program to a 200-55 record, seven NCAA Tournament bids, the 2017 ACC title and the 2015 NCAA Championship.

• John Hugley (210) and Femi Odukale (146) have combined for 356 of the team's 617 free throw attempts (57.7 pct.). The tandem has combined to shoot 15 or more free throws in a game 11 times.
• John Hugley and Mouhamadou Gueye have combined to average 35.0 points per game on 38-of-56 (.679) shooting from the field over the past three games.
