
Panthers Welcome North Alabama To The Pete Wednesday Afternoon

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt women's basketball team (6-5, 0-1 ACC) closes out their non-conference slate Wednesday afternoon as the North Alabama Lions come to town for a 12:00 pm tip. Wednesday's game will air live on ACC Network Extra.

- Junior Taisha Exanor came off the bench Sunday and had a career game in the loss to Louisville as she netted 12 points, three rebounds and three steals. The 12 points marked a career-high while the three steals also tied a career-best. She finished the game going 6-for-7 from the floor including a perfect 5-for-5 in the fourth quarter.
- Junior forward Liatu King is enjoying a great start to her season as she is leading Pitt in scoring (10.5 ppg) and rebounding (8.5 rpg) while shooting 45.6% from the floor. King currently ranks 6th in the ACC in rebounding.
- The Panthers return home Wednesday afternoon to close out their non-conference schedule as North Alabama comes to town for a 12pm tip. Wednesday's game will air live on ACC Network Extra.
- Pitt owns a 6-4 non-conference record heading into Wednesday's game as they have secured their 18th winning non-conference season in the past 19 seasons.
- The Pitt defense has been leading the way all season long as they have held four teams to 45 points or less on the year. Pitt has held 38 of their last 41 opponents to 45% or less shooting from the floor.
- This meeting marks the first of all-time between the two programs.

- The Panthers opened ACC play Sunday afternoon at the Petersen Events Center and fell to Louisville, 77-53.

- Dayshanette Harris had her fourth straight double figure scoring game as she finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists while freshman Marley Washenitz finished her game with seven points, three assists and a career-high three steals in the loss.
- The Panthers held the 31-24 lead in bench scoring but lost the paint battle, 32-22 in the loss.
- The Panthers have been dominant in the non-conference portion of their schedule over the past couple seasons.
- Pitt has secured a winning non-conference record for the 18th time in the pst 19 seasons.
- After the loss to Ball State, Pitt is 65-36 (.644) against non-conference foes over the last nine seasons.
- So far this season, Pitt is 6-4 against non-conference foes.
- Pitt finished off the 2021-22 campaign with a 9-2 (.818) non-conference record. The .818 winning percentage marked the best for Pitt since 2009-10 (11-2, .846). They were a perfect 6-0 at home last season against non-conference foes, outscoring them by nearly 20 points per game.
