PITTSBURGH – The Panther softball team fell to Saint Francis Sunday afternoon at Vartabedian Field.
Pitt fell to the Red Flash by the scores of 7-2, in game one and 2-1, in game two.
Sophomore Kylie Griggs and graduate student Sarah Seamans both went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI on the day. Graduate Student Yvonne Whaley also contributed to the Panther's offense by going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI.
Both sophomore Adriana Romano and redshirt sophomore Dani Drogemuller pitched 5.0 innings, giving up one and two earned runs, respectively. Abby Edwards struck out three batters over 2.0 innings if relief.
The Panthers fall season concludes next weekend as the Panthers' take on Glenville State in a double-header on Saturday, Oct. 8, followed by another double-header against Kent State on Sunday, Oct. 9.
